Perak DAP will not cooperate with Umno without the involvement of other Pakatan Harapan (PH) component parties.
Its chairman, Nga Kor Ming, said the party is willing to work with Umno provided PKR and Amanah are also part of it.
On Sunday, Nga said Perak DAP is prepared to work with any party, including Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN), to form the next state government.
“In the best interest of the people, Perak DAP is ready to work with any party.
“We are willing to work with any party that can help to form a multiracial, strong and stable government,” he previously said.

“Taking into account the situation in Perak, where no party has the majority to form a stable government, Perak DAP has decided to work with Umno to form a clean, strong, multi-racial and stable government.
“DAP is a big-hearted party that is willing to put the wellbeing of the people as its priority.
“The perception of people saying that the party is anti-Malay or anti-Islam is not true at all,” he said.
Nga said it should be emphasised that DAP Perak’s readiness to work with Umno is based on the principle of forming a multi-racial government that is clean, with integrity, and guided by the principle of “good governance”.
“A written agreement must be signed if the proposal for this cooperation reaches that stage.
“It should also be emphasised that DAP will not compromise on corrupt practices or irregularities in matters of administrative integrity,” he added.
