DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang said yesterday that Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders campaigning in the Tanjung Piai by-election have two herculean tasks to ensure the positive outcome of the seat on the 16th of November.
However, the more Lim opens his mouth and speaks of the “other side” telling lies, the more voters are going to get pissed off and vote for the MCA instead.
This is because the same voters were fed with years of stories regarding “Barisan Nasional’s “lies, fake news and hate speech” before the 14th general election but ended up witnessing first hand how it was the DAP that ended up lying by not living up to its manifesto promises.
And speaking of hate speeches, it is not as if the Malay-Muslims and the Chinese are blind or deaf and cannot hear or read what Nga Kor Ming, Superman Hew and Lim Guan Eng have been saying.
From claims of an UMNO-PAS pact being a precursor to terrorism in Malaysia to the introduction of khat calligraphy and jawi writing being akin to “rubbing cow manure on our faces,” there has been no shortage of racist and religiously charged slurs bordering on Islamophobia uttered by DAP leaders this past year.
Technically, what Kit Siang is doing is a form of sabotage that will reduce PPBM’s chances of winning the Tanjung Piai poll.
SUBANG JAYA: DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang said yesterday that Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders campaigning in the Tanjung Piai by-election have two herculean tasks to ensure the positive outcome of the seat on the 16th of November.
According to him, leaders would have the monumental task of “transforming Tanjung Piai voters into the most media literate within the country that could successfully identify the stream of misinformation being spread on social media.”
“The Tanjong Piai voters are now the target of the highly-funded and creative “influencers” on social media, producing and circulating at a great speed their latest lies, fake news and hate speech,” he reportedly said in a statement here.
There is no need for anyone to convince voters, as they themselves are feeling the pinch due to the rise in cost of living despite the DAP’s pre-electoral claim that a reversion from GST to SST would help keep the prices of goods and services from skyrocketing.
Then there is the issue of fuel price, the repayment of PTPTN loans and toll charges, all of which do not require explanations from politicians as the people can assess themselves “what was promised” and “the deal they’re getting.”
Lim Guan Eng even had the cheek to say that an UMNO-PAS government would “lead to non-Muslims and non-Malays’ fundamental rights, as enshrined under the Federal Constitution, being extinguished.”
If anything, these racist slurs will end up winning the Malays sympathy from the Chinese community, which itself is hurting – in the pockets, that is – thanks to Guan Eng’s lies that are fast eroding investor confidence.
So go ahead, uncle Lim – open your mouth wide in Tanjung Piai and drive more and more voters away from PH with your half past six logic.
Rest assured, this is not me supporting the MCA or PPBM for the by election, but me setting the record straight, letting everyone see how Lim is ruining PPBM’s chances at the poll.
Technically, it’s a form of sabotage even if Lim is unaware of it.
