“24 hours is an eternity in politics, as everything can change in a matter of minutes.
“If one expects a narrative presented to remain true to eternity, one would be finished in a matter of minutes.
“I have repeatedly said that there is no black and white in politics. A politician is a person who can make waves, and then make you think he’s the only one who can save the ship.
“In one sense, he looks for trouble, finds it whether it exists or not, diagnoses it incorrectly, and applies the wrong remedy.
“In another sense, he keeps the populace alarmed by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins so that people will clamour to be led to safety.
“Whatever the game, the politician can’t let his audience see it, which is why, what you think you see isn’t what you get.
“If one can read a politician like an open book, his game is over. Obviously, he is going to brand himself one way to accomplish something of an entirely different nature.
“Maybe he will try to appear naive, maybe he will behave ecstatically.
“If it is any consolation, I am not a politician.
“I am a rock.
“Let this song speak on my behalf”
