The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) took a fresh statement from Muhammed Yusoff Rawther today in what amounts to the reinvestigation of a police report lodged by Yusoff against PKR’s Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.

TTF was made to understand that Yusoff had submitted evidences related to his complaint against Farhash to the previous IO.

The evidences include, among others, a medical report, pictures of Yusoff’s injuries and a third ‘item’ TTF is not at liberty to reveal.

According to the source, the final report that ended with the AGC was said to have been missing these evidences, leading some to conclude that the evidences were pulled out by ‘hidden hands’ between the time the previous IO took Yusoff’s statement to the time the report ended with the AGC.

PETALING JAYA: The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) took a fresh statement from Muhammed Yusoff Rawther today in what amounts to the reinvestigation of a police report lodged by Yusoff against PKR’s Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.

On the 29thof January 2020, Yusoff recalled an incident that took place at the Seapark police station in Petaling Jaya where he gave his statement over his police report against, Farhash, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary.

According to a news report, Yusoff said since that appointment, he has not received any update from the police or the Attorney-General’s Chambers.

“So I am under no illusion that my complaint against Farhash’s boss would also be acted upon.

“I was physically assaulted, beaten and hurt by Farhash, a flunkey to Anwar.

“It has been eight months since my police report. I was terribly injured, rendering my right arm weak and hurting. I required surgery, and the authorities have failed to take any action against my assailant, someone who I have clearly identified,” he said.

The incident Yusoff referred to allegedly took place on the 16th of May 2019, a day before the death of his grandfather, prominent Penang consumer advocate SM Mohamed Idris.

A well-placed source who spoke to TTF on condition of anonymity revealed that the Attorney-General’s Chambers has set tomorrow as deadline for the submission of PDRM’s latest findings on the case.

According to the source, the Investigating Officer (IO) who took Yusoff’s statement today was not the same person who took his statement in September last year.

Yesterday, lawyer Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla revealed that the legal action Yusoff had initiated against Farhash and Tunku Nashrul in September last year is up for mention on the 20thof March 2020.

This is following a decision by the Shah Alam Session’s court to refuse an application by Farhash and Tunku to expunge various portions of Yusoff’s suit that bears direct references to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

What this means, is Yusoff’s suit against Farhash and Tunku associated with the police assault case is officially on.

What this also means, is Anwar can now be called to testify in court as material witness, a possibility both Farhash and Tunku were curiously trying so hard to avoid.
