Everyone has lost the plot.
Sure, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s shoddy administration that isn’t supposed to be in power after having lost its majority may end up being the biggest loser come the 15th general election.
I spoke about it yesterday, and I told you why (READ HERE or click link below). Barisan Nasional too will suffer during the election and could end up with 30 or so seats, perhaps even less.
It’s 99 per cent a sure thing, and that’s assuming that a Third Force bloc led by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad comes into the picture and steals the show.
Pakatan Harapan would have a cat in hell’s chance sabotaging the bloc, which could even end up winning 60 seats if the right buttons are pushed.
Should Muhyiddin and UMNO work together, the Third Force bloc will win a sizeable faction of Malays seats as many UMNO votes would swing in Mahathir’s way.
Should Muhyiddin and UMNO not work together and should UMNO and PPBM clash in many seats, the Third Force bloc will gain.
Should Muhyiddin deregister UMNO, an even bigger chunk of Malay-Muslims will swing towards the Third Force bloc.
Should Muhyiddin merge PPBM and UMNO, the outcome would be more or less the same as the case of UMNO and PPBM working together.
Everything looks good on paper, and, as a lead character in a Marvel cinematic movie put it, “we’re in the end game.”
But everyone has lost the plot.
Ego play, complacency and the lack of regard seem to be rearing their ugly heads, and the one per cent chance things could work out differently is getting significantly bigger.
Strategies are going haywire and defense is lacking.
Generals are shooting in the dark while drowning in paranoia, preferring to keep doors tightly shut for fear of betrayal or what have you.
Even I have lost the plot.
