99 per cent of 1,800 netizens have thus far voted for Dong Zong and the DAP to be declared illegal, an online poll reveals.

The poll, conducted via the RAGGIE JESSY RITHAUDEEN and GERAKAN BANGSA NASIONAL Facebook pages, is currently in its 17thhour and will be open to public for a week.

To shift the spotlight, the DAP’s top leadership is now training its guns at Islamic preacher Dr Zakir Naik by twisting a speech he delivered in Kota Baru.

The spin seems designed to add vigour to the DAP’s demand for Zakir to be deported to India on grounds that his continued presence here poses a threat to harmony.

However, a similar stand was taken by Malaysians recently when a vast majority of netizens polled to have Kit Siang kicked out of Malaysia for demanding Zakir’s extradition.

It is ironical that the DAP should be so concerned over Zakir’s comparison of the treatment Hindu’s in Malaysia receive with that of Muslim’s in India when the party completely ignores the racist and anti-Malay slurs uttered by its own leaders.

PETALING JAYA: 99 per cent of 1,800 netizens have thus far voted for Dong Zong and the DAP to be declared illegal, an online poll reveals.

The poll, conducted via the RAGGIE JESSY RITHAUDEEN and GERAKAN BANGSA NASIONAL Facebook pages, is currently in its 17th hour and will be open to public for a week.

The poll comes in the wake of a media scuffle between Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and key DAP leaders who’ve demonstrated their willingness to back Dong Zong no matter what the Chinese chauvinist education group says.

Shit hit the fan last week when the group flew in the face of the Prime Minister over a decision by the Ministry of Education to introduce Khat Calligraphy and Jawi script in the primary school curriculum.

According to Dong Zong, the move would in no way assist school-goers learn Bahasa Melayu and was an attempt by the Government of Malaysia to Islamise education.

The group’s stand was of a tone and flavour to a stand Lim Kit Siang himself took in the early eighties.

Back then, the senior Lim told a public forum that the Mahathir administration was attempting to Islamise education and “other spheres of natural life” and even went so far as to claim that underaged kids were forcibly taken away from their parents to be converted to Islam.

Several DAP leaders have been quick to defend the Dong Zong group following a remark by the Prime Minister that the group was racist and deliberately did not want Chinese kids to mingle with Malays in school.

Gerakan Bangsa Nasional has taken a similar stand and has labelled both the DAP and Dong-Jiao Zong along with the MCA as racists and extremists.

For instance, when Lim Lip Eng posted in Facebook that introducing Khat Calligraphy was akin to “rubbing cow manure” on our faces, Kit Siang, Kulasegaran and Gobind Singh Deo were nowhere to be found.

The trio also had nothing to say in 2011 when Nga Kor Ming referred to the state of Perak as “Darul Kartun” and its (then) Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir, as “Haram Jadah,” “Melayu Pukimak” and “metallic black” (watch video below).

There is also the 2014 incident in which Tony Pua questioned a fatwa forbidding Muslims from celebrating Valentines Day and the one in which Dato’ Ngeh Koo Ham argued in favour of Muslims being allowed to renounce the religion of Islam.

The list goes on.

Given the list, why on earth would Malaysians want Zakir Naik to be deported? Why not instead deport Nga Kor Meng along with Dong Zong and the better half of the DAP and MCA to Alaska on a one-way-ticket, no-expense-spared trip?
