THE THIRD FORCE
Dear Apandi Ali,
I go to great pains writing these lengthy letters to you. All I seek are honest replies from your good self with hope that those replies will put to rest any doubts Malaysians may have on your credibility as principle legal advisor to the Government of Malaysia (GoM). But what do I get?
Nothing. Zero. Zilch.
Why is that, Apandi? Is your ego so big, that you just can’t fathom the idea of a blogger seeking some honest answers from you? Seriously, have you become that big headed that you think you’re some kind of a political Goliath who’s unassailable or indestructible?
There are some serious allegations making their rounds via the social media that have to do with you and you wife, Puan Sri Faridah Begum. At some point, you need to address these allegations lest people begin to suspect that you have something to hide. I, for one, would like to know if indeed Robert Kuok greased the palms of both your wife and her brother, Jahabar Sadiq, to publish material deemed insidiously subversive against the GoM via The Malaysian Insight (Insight).
I would also like to know if it is true that some RM20 million or so was channeled via Inside Media Sdn Bhd, an RM2 concern that your wife is said to be a joint shareholder of. According to Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK), the money was used to bankroll covert media operations by the Jahabar-run Insight in conjunction with the DAP. We’re told that the mission is to effect Chinese de facto rule in Malaysia through acts of subversion against the administration of Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Question is, did the RM20 million or so come atop the millions both your wife and Jahabar are said to have received via Inside Media? According to RPK, the money was paid in cash without the associated entires being made in the company’s ledgers. Are we to take your silence on these matters as tacit acknowledgment on your part that your wife and brother in-law did indeed receive millions from Kuok to sabotage the GoM?
You can’t remain silent forever, Apandi.
It is only a matter of time before you will be required to exercise your discretion under Article 145 of the Federal Constitution of Malaysia. The need to do so comes as a natural consequence to a police report lodged by Faridah herself against RPK and Malaysia Today on the 15th of February 2018. The report is likely to trigger a discovery into Inside Media’s methods of funding that, if found in breach of Malaysian laws, will likely require the filing of criminal proceedings against Faridah and possibly even Jahabar himself.
So tell me, what sort of guarantee do we have that both your wife and brother in-law will not influence any decision you may make? Do you honestly expect us to believe that you will exercise your jurisdiction pursuant to Article 145 in a manner that is equitable and without prejudice? Can you now see why it is inevitable that you resign as Attorney-General of Malaysia with immediate effect?
The longer you wait, the bigger will be the dent in credibility suffered by our government in the eyes of the electorate. Let us not forget, that as principal legal advisor to government, your job is to advise the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on laws that need observing should a threat to our sovereignty be detected. But how can the King count on you to do that when your own wife is alleged to be posing that very threat?
Face it, Apandi – the time has come for you to go. My sources from the United States (US) have since informed me of meetings you held in London with Dato’ Seri Azmin Ali to discuss a coup attempt against the administration of Najib Razak. I am told, the planned attempt involves the fabrication of two charge sheets, one of which will point to ‘fresh evidence’ suggesting that the Prime Minister did indeed steal billions from 1MDB. Now, I really can’t be certain if all this is true.
Is it?
I truly hope that this letter is treated by your good self with the required degree of urgency and thank you in anticipation of your prompt reply.
Yours Sincerely,
Raggie Jessy
